Intern Spotlight on Veronica

Veronica Pramono, Summer 2023 Intern

As a biomedical engineering major, I was unsure of what to expect when joining Yoo & Co. Accelerators as an intern. However, this experience did not disappoint. I got the opportunity to explore a different realm of the biotechnology field and gain more insight into the various components that go into research. From the start, I could see how the entire team was passionate about their work in the week-to-week meetings and always created a welcoming and encouraging environment. By working with both Yoo & Co. and one of their Pioneers, Robust Diagnostics, I was able to use what I have learned over the past two years at Grand Canyon University and observe how biology, engineering, and business all intertwine in a real-world setting.

After getting a first-hand look at how the biotechnology field is growing, it has heightened my interest and motivated me to further my studies as a student. From expanding my knowledge of utilizing Excel to analyze biological data sets, to observing the work that goes behind entrepreneurial side of the field, I am grateful for my time working at Yoo & Co. alongside Robust Diagnostics.
